Applying System Configuration Changes

When applying patches, updates and system configuration changes (for example, Windows and Java updates), it is important to ensure that Campaign Manager resumes processing correctly, based on the new configuration changes.

The recommended procedure is described below.

Procedure

1. Pause any campaigns that are running in Campaign Manager and check that all Engine processing has completed.
2. Pause any external processes that interact with Engine, for example, Kettle or AMC scheduled jobs.
3. Stop Campaign Manager services using:

   sysadminapp /sqlserver=servername /stop	

4. Apply the patch/update.
5. Start Campaign Manager services using:

   sysadminapp /sqlserver=servername /start	

6. Resume any paused campaigns and external processes (Kettle, etc.).
